What are you guys seeing for oil pressure? Not liking mine.
Fully warmed up at idle Im seeing 11-14 psi according to my Autometer mechanical gauge. 84mm sleeved GSR. Using-3an from T off the back of block to the gauge. turbo feed is also off the T using 3an line. WOT at higher rpms seeing 60-65psi. Bottom end was built by a good reputable machine shop with ACL's about 500 miles ago. I don't know clearances but they said clearances were good with the ACL's. New oil pump. Still running squirters. Using Brad Penn 10-40.
11-14 seems low and Im wondering if I should be worried and start troubleshooting. Wondering what you guys are seeing on your set ups. Im going to give the machine shop a ring tomorrow and see if they recall what the clearances were or what specs they use when rebuilding and using ACL's.
Thanks gentlemen.

I've had anywhere from about 12-20 depending upon where I am at idle. 60-80 at cold start. OEM P72 oil pump using TODA RACING Oil pump gear for more reliability from the sinistered metal that the OEM gear provides. The TODA RACING gear does not increase oil pressure or increase volume through the pump.

96-102psi cold start, depending on ambient temperature.
23-25psi warm idle, 750rpm.
75-80psi cruising at 3k+ rpm on the highway once warm.
90psi peak @ 7200rpm redline once warm.
Probably the outcast here since it's an H series. If I really dog it I see a ~5psi drop across the board with oil temps above 215F which is quite difficult to do on the street. Rotella T6 Full synthetic, 5W40.

Starting to feel a little better.I was expecting to hear "HOLY F***! Way too low! time for a rebuild!" lol. Forgot to mention that that my idle is set at 1200. I still have 5 quarts of Bradd Penn 10-40. After thats gone maybe I'll try Brad Penn 15-40. Thinks thats a bad idea since Im in New England approaching winter?

After thinking of it, the car won't even be driven in the winter really. The oil in the car currently only has about 100 miles on it and the other 5 quarts of 10-40 I have left over will last me until next summer. Maybe I'll go a little thicker at that point when its 90+ degrees. I'm just glad to see that 12-14 psi at idle is not uncommon and others are seeing similar pressure. I will continue to monitor and make sure my levels are where they need to be.
Thanks fellas.

Uh I run 20-50 =/. My Mains and rods were in the 0.0015 to 0.0020 range. I had oil pressure like yours with 15-40 when the oil got up to 210 deg (about where it hovers in the summer) and stepped up to gain 5-10 more psi. I put 10-40 back in it for winter so I can start it occasionally or drive it even. But in the garage it never gets below 40.

80 psi on cold start
20-22 psi at hot idle
50-60 psi cruising below 3000 rpm
75-85 psi wot in vtec
my mains are .002 and rods are about .0018. castrol 10w-40 conventional

DO IT ON ALL FOURS
Re: What are you guys seeing for oil pressure? Not liking mine.
I get almost exactly the same pressures except for I think my hot idle is higher (950 idle) with same bearing clearances with ACL's using 5w40 Rotella T6 (blue jugs).

Re: What are you guys seeing for oil pressure? Not liking mine.
I had the opportunity to tuned a car with a Haltech EMS and an oil pressure sensor input.
I was nice to see a typical oil pressure curve for a built Honda engine.
On a particular B18C1 build with ITR oil pump, factory bearings all around, low mileage, Motul 300V, and oil temps around 95 deg C, I had these readings on average:
900-1000RPM = 15-20 psi
2500RPM = 65 PSI
3000-7000RPM = 85 PSI
7000-8000RPM = 80 PSI
9000-9200RPM = 75 PSI
WOT or part throttle, it didn't seem to matter though. The oil pressure was mainly based on engine RPM and oil temp.
Once I ran the car to much hotter oil temps (up to 105 deg C), the oil pressure dropped about 5 PSI across the board, except at 9000RPM, it stayed the same. Seems like the Motul 300V was doing a great job.
