Well Matt and I tested the wastegate placement and it didn't help. It ran just about the same. I really don't know what I want to do with it.

If your dump tube is dumping next to the compressor inlet or near it. I can guarantee your losing 70-90 whp. As for the mapping I didn't read the hole thread but at first, damn 35 is alot for idle and 15 is too low. I like to idle at 24, it will go up as far as 26 just under light throttle. and start dropping for every 10-15 + map pressure. 18 would be lowest for a street tune. plugs for your set up should be around 24. This is for a map with a t3/t4 setup as well. H series likes the 4554 ngk's as well. Im not saying this is the preferred way, but you tried everything else. Just trying to help.

His dumptube is running back into the downpipe. Its not an open dump. Also what are you talking about with idle numbers? Timing? The stock base timing for the h22 is 15* which i have it set at. If you are seeing a 35 thats probably because i posted the hi cam map. I'm not sure if thats what you meant or not.

yea seriously. We've tried everything. The plugs are gapped right, the afr's are fine, and i've tried all kinds of timing combinations(well the best i could do without a dyno), which made the car feel no different. It feels great up until about 3500 rpms and then its just a slug. I still suspect that it may not be getting good spark or something because the datalogs always showed random lean spikes off and on that look like little misfires.

Alright well i may have figured out one cause for the loss in power we are having. I just realized that with the p28 ecu we are running his IAB's don't even work so i guess they are stuck closed. Does anybody know which vacuum line to unplug so they stay open all the time? Have any pics?

I guess so. Make sure you plug up the vacuum line so you don't have a leak.

Try cam gears and dial out the overlap when VTEC hits.

check the timing belt...seen this happen before...once fixed the car should run good till vtec hits then it won't pull again...then add the cam gears and retune. let me know how it goes.

Yea i guess we should check the timing belt. What is it something with the auto tensioner on h22's that causes it to slip?
