Yea i think your right. The small *** turbo and log manifold are probably causing so much exhaust gas reversion that its killing the power and causing that knock that was accuring with the more agressive timing. If he had some adjustable cam gears to dial out the overlap we could probably gain a good deal of power with this small turbo, but i think for now we are going to try the large turbo and see how it does

their is no reason why that shouldnt help. A t3 on a gsr on 10psi makes less than 200 but with a larger turbo makes 270-300+.

THat turbo made 243 and 200ftlbs on my LS on only 8.5psi so Im motr than sure that is the problem. T3's make **** for power unless you have a small 1.5-1.6 sohc.

Go see how many sub 200 dyno's youll see in the search feature using a small t3. I think the next dyno will show that what im sayin is right. He's runnin stock cams, no stock came (Deffinaly Vtec) is going to have so much over lap that you are gonna run into power loss issues. His engine would sound like a drag car and wouldnt idle if it were that bad.

I'm talking about overlap in boost. The small turbo and log manifold are causing the exhaust gases to revert back into the combustion chamber and contaminate the new charge which causes loss in power. With adjustable cam gears you could probably somewhat correct this.

so why deal with it if his turbo will be maxed out by 250 anyways. He has a much better turbo now. Lets see him make 300+ next go around

I know what your sayin tho.

I hope to make that much, I want to get an equal length manifold while I'm at it, but I just don't have the money right now. I do but if I bought one I'd be left with like $200. But running open dump, no a/c and a 3" dp should help too

your turbo sounds like it should be large enough.

too small or not.... it should still make more power.

greddy kits and the 18g at 10psi make more power

This turbo is also from a kit I got for christmas from ebay. (SSautochrome parts, etc.) And so far I've had to replace everything in the kit and the turbo still remains from the kit. So it could be a shitty turbo. Yea it works, but shittily.

dude try disabling the secondaries...

also mess around w/ cam timing like stated above.
just for reference, my h22's intake is -3degrees and the exhaust cam is 0degrees

IAB control is disabled. We are using a p28 ecu. Also he doesn't have any adjustable cam gears.
