Re: what went wrong? (Dorikamu)
The block was freshly built. I ran the engine for about 1000 miles to break it in. The outter sleeve cracked the first time I ran 8lbs of boost (during tuning with hondata). There was no sign of denotation shown on the head or the piston. This darton stage 2 suppose to hold 20+lbs of boost???

Sounds like the clearances might have been off when installed and if your sleeves warped during those 1000 miles it could have broke apart the sleeve.

You notice the aluminum bore the ductile iron liner slides inside of? The broken part? That clearance, the manner of insertion by the machine shop, etc, something like that.

Re: what went wrong? (J. Davis)
you mean the cracked outter sleeve (aluminum bore) is caused by a bearing clearance problem?
how does that work?
These are the possible things that can do the damage, I was told.
- The head gasket was not sealed rite
- The sleeve slipped
What do you guys think?
