what turbo for jdm gsr?
i'm planning on boosting my '94 JDM B18C.. 10.6:1 compression.. all the basic bolt on's.. blox intake mani.. stock internals.. only planning on pushing ~6psi for the time being.. maybe bump it up next year after some building.. this is also my daily driver..
what would be a good turbo for me? (size/brand.. i'm new to honda fi)

right now im looking for ~250-260whp w/a .4bar spring (~6psi).. if/when i build the motor next spring.. drop the compression.. maybe 15-17psi. but thats a HUGE maybe.. most likely going to leave it at a low boost.
SoSlo: about what rpm did the 60trim spool up for ya??

260whp at 6psi is the same as 260whp at 10psi or 260whp at 20psi

I would say hold on to the 60 trim turbo and just use that. If you are running it off just your WG spring, then you should be pretty close to your initial power goal of 250-260 WHP. What are your future power goals? I know you said 15-17 PSI, but how much power are you looking to make?

Re: what turbo for jdm gsr? (BlueShadow)
so just use the turbo i already have?.. i've had people tell me it could take up to 5000rpms to spool up.. then others say only around 3500.. as far as "power goals".. i don't really have a specific goal. i dont street race and i go to the track maybe 3 times a year just to have fun. i already had my race car (see sig).. just looking for a garage project this summer. 300whp would be nice though! i just dont want to loose reliability of my daily driver. that sc61 is a little expensive.. maybe i should just hold on to this t3/t4 60??

I'd like to know how it turns out for you, cuz I'm trying to decide now what motor I want to start building. I' m currently run a JDM B18C in my hatch; however, I picked up 99 LS to build for a turbo and have not done much with it. I've heard alot of people are having success building the B18C so I'm leaning towards build it and selling the LS. I know that 10.6:1 is not the best to boost, so I'm looking at new pistons and rods but not sleeving. Any thoughts?
