do you mean the difference in the T3/T04E 50 trim and the smallest Precision SC series OR the smallest version of the SC61. The SC61 is quite a bit larger than the 50 trim...it has a larger exhaust turbine and is capable of 500+whp compared to the T3/T04e 50 trim which is good for around 430whp

Get a T3/T04E 60-trim, .63 a/r exhaust side. Should cost about $550 brand new.

a 57/60 trim might get you there...i know SLS is pretty close to 500whp on their white hatch w/ a 57 trim and 110octane. Check out the STC Silver Surfer because it might be what you're looking for....also the SC6152sp is a good turbo and would meet your goals; however, is laggier than the other options

that turbo is massive and has a gt35 compressor with t3 stage 3 turbine wheel and can support ~650whp...pretty sure it's the largest of the t3 sc61 available, except for the .82ar turbine housing....probably not a good choice for a vdub.
If you're dead set on Precision, I'd suggest an sc32 which is rated to 49whp and has the bb option or an sc34 which is rated to ~550hp but i don't think it has the bb option. either way, they would spool up much faster than an sc61 and be an overall better choice for a vdub looking for ~500whp
