GARRETT T3/T4 50 TRIM .48 A/R
I'm really sorry, I know this is the technical forums, but that marketplace confuses the hell out of me. I'm thinking about getting a GARRETT T3/T4 50 TRIM .48 A/R. Where can I get one new for a good price. Any good non shady websites that anyone suggests?

for what you requested
the precision 5431e is from what they say "an improved 50 trim" i personally have one on the way but couldn't find **** for info on it besides a 50lb/min flow rate and a billet wheel
turbo daves has them for $609
https://turbodaves.com/Precision_Turbo_.html
cost to benefit is what had me. for the price of that garrett 50 i figured you might as well get a gt3071r
the precision 5431e doesn't cost extra for housing changes and is $110 to $160 less depending on if you use a 5 bolt exhaust or not

Re: GARRETT T3/T4 50 TRIM .48 A/R
I'm using the b18b and since its a non vtec head it doesn't flow as well so the smaller trim will get me a better torque curve for what I want. I'm staying under 350whp so the .48 should be plenty

I like the price on that precision turbo so I'm gonna do some research on that. Since I'm only looking to cross the 300whp mark, I can't decide if I should do a .48 a/r or a .63 a/r. Which one would go better with a 50 trim?

Are you running this on a DOHC B series? If so, I'd go with a .63 housing.

Its not going to be completely stock, it'll have eagle rod's and JE forged pistons, but I'm not looking for a big turbo. It needs to be small bc the B18b can't rev very high on the stock head so a big turbo wouldn't be able to spool fast enough to make good torque in my power range. so a 50 trim with .63 a/r will do the trick for what I want

Re: GARRETT T3/T4 50 TRIM .48 A/R
I like having a slightly larger turbo so you have room to grow. I really was referring to the .48 housing though, I'd at least go with a .63.
And I understand it's an LS but in the future, if you throw a vtec head on it, and you want to rev higher, then if you have a slightly larger turbo, it will be still be good. Im not saying go with a 6262, but maybe a 5557 billet. But if your on a budget, I understand that too. Either way I'll do the $605 so let me know
