You should kick his ***. At least a .5deg retard per pound of boost should be setup on ANY turbo setup.

I'm surprised the motor hasn't blown. </TD></TR></TABLE>

LOL... do you think that's one reason why my numbers are so low?

It could be, but I'm not by any means saying it "is".

I'm definetly sure it has some part to why the #'s are low.

I would reccomend to take it to another reputable shop and have them re-tune it.

Thats half of the problem. There are no good shops in the Twin Cities area.

I've had my disappointments with Elite tuning my car as well.

look at his air fuel ratio on the dyno chart, we run it around 11.0 or less.

I'm sorry to say this man, but stop feeding him BS. 12:1 is perfectly fine for his motor, even on pump gas. Even if he were to retune it for "11" it would most likely make LESS power than it is now!

The Drag manifold is also fine! They have been proven to push 500+Hp (some with major boost spikes) but other than that they are fine.

BS?
I speak from a ton of experience, not my @$$!!!
I guess you think RC is full of it too... maybee you should go use their injector calculator too...

There are many users on this forum that will agree I know what I'm talking about... allot of them I built cars for...
so be everybody is entitled to their opinion, but mine has experience to back it up!

I think it's the compression, timing and injectors.

Do you have a boost gauge, do you know for a fact that your actually boosting as much as you are?

its all in the tooning... i dont like how up and down the a/f is .... im pretty sure a decent tuner would be able to flatten that out and extract more power.

440cc injector will max out at about 300-350. Your injector are fine, Me personaly, i would have gone bigger. You also go with 3 inch downpipes. And 8.8:1 is too low, especially for a b16. The least i would have gone is 9.5:1. Have you changed the fuel pump or are u still on the stock pump? Also are u running a open dump wastegate? or have u routed it to your downpipe?

Are you sure you are getting 14psi? I don't know how that is possible if your still running the stock map sensor...You said you didn't have the 3 bar installed yet. If thats not the case it has to be somethign with your tune. You do NOT need bigger injectors 440/450's will do 300whp, im running dsm 450's and making 307whp 212wtq stock block/stock internals ~9:1 compression. The RC injector calculater is VERY VERY conservative. The manifold will easily make more power than that too...you should easily have 300+whp with your setup.

I think it's the too low compression pistons but I'm not sure? Maybe I could get a thinner headgasket? How much more would it bump my compression up to?

your fine with the compression, im @9:1 and made plenty of power. I know the stock map will only read to ~10.65...do you have the 3 bar installed yet?

how are you boosting 14psi with a stock map sensor? Your numbers seem similar to what a b16a would make with low compression and ~10psi...why would you even try to boost 14psi without installing the 3 bar, it only takes like 10 mins to install

Yea, But I thought you need to switch over to 3bar mode on the Hondata software which I don't have.

yes you would have to switch...Anyways im betting the low numbers were because you weren't @14psi, do you have a boost gauge?

yea I have a boost guage, but I think I might have found the problem I boost 10psi all the way to 7500rpm... the to 8000rpm and then it boost spikes up to 1bar with a .45bar spring in my wastgate? Do you think if i put a .65bar wastegate spring it wouldn't boost spike so bad? I think my power was from 10psi and not 14-15psi...hmmm

i think you should install the 3 bar and get it retuned for 14-15psi, Do it the right way.
