What psi will be safe to run ls auto?
I have a rev-hard stage2 kit on my floor. I've plan to install kit in next 2 weeks.
All i have mod is greedy evo cat back and AEM power pulley. I am gonna use stock auto trany and stock tranny cooler with 6~8psi.
i just wonder what psi setting will be save my tranny and gain some desecnt hp?
Also, what kind of 1/4 times i can expect?

if possible only run the 8 and no more when you race and only. try to keep 5 maybe 6 for dailying. i ran a constant 6-7 psi through my hybrid turbo when it 'was' auto. ran 8.61 1/8ths and low 13 sec quarters but that is a hybrid app where i have 600 lbs on you. you might run low 14...maybe high 13's. after beating the hell out of the auto for maybe 4 months it finally gave. so be careful and don't do neutral rev drops! just brake launch (you'll only get 2k rpms on launch with brakes which you'll still spin so don't worry too much about a high stall converter yet). if you plan to build up the tranny, it's not the torque converter that is going to hold your power like everyone thinks is what that does. the converter only allows you to brake launch at higher stall like 4-5k rpm is ideal. a heavy duty clutch plate/pack kit is what's going to allow you to not 'slip as much' and hold more boost and more power output. contact levelten.com. a clutch plate kit is only $300 but cost about $600 to get put in. that is just labor for if you took the tranny off and had a shop do it. it will definitely cost more if they have to work with getting the tranny out. if you are going to do anything to the auto...get the clutch packs that are heavy duty from level 10. they claim it'll 'bullet proof' your tranny. so hope that helps...not too many people help out the auto racers so be fortunate that i have been through the task and know what you shouldn't do. i pushed the stock auto to it's limits and don't boost more than 8...still i think that is too much for it because it'll hit the rev limiter from slipping too much at that psi. it's fun nonetheless to have a fast auto...i would rather have a fast turbo auto than a slow *** stock gsr or something...si...ls. they are no fun to drive even though they are standard. good luck with the install and be careful with the auto man.
