im starting to think that my 8:4:1 compression will be too low on my h22.

How much were u boosting when u made those #'s

if you're running a H22, the 6152 is not the size you need to run. You should probably look into the 6176, since it's sized for the larger displacement alittle better.

Beave is going to correct me, but I believe he was running 16psi with those numbers.

wow!!

Great numbers. It seems like the honda low compression piston standard is 9:1.
I will be running a 3" kteller exhaust and 3" downpipe. Im thinking aabout ditching my 8:4 arias piston for a 9:1 piston

u dont need to bump up the compression. increasing the compression to 9:1 aint gonna give u a huge jump in HP. withthe ower compression u can afford to run more timing to bring the HP up. i say leave it and tune the car

u really think so, man. do u know anyone running 8:4 compression on a honda engine. Anyways, my tuner also said to just ride it out. He said that it may not hurt as much as i think.

Who the hell is your tuner?

The relatively low compression will only hurt off boost performance. On the bright side, you can run a lot of power on "low" octane.

It just seems that i can get more hp's per lbs. if I use a higher compression piston like 9:1. Nonetheless, i think im going to stick with my current set-up

Hp per lbs doesn't mean much...

I've also heard that i can run boost and make good numbers on 91 octane if i run 8:4 compression and that the detonation issue is not much of a concern when compared to running a 9:1 and up piston

the key to making huge numbers is eliminating detonation

stick with those super low comp piston that you got.
it would be too much more money and time trying to get some higher comp piston.
the ones you have will work good for the turbo. and since they are so low they will help with preventing detention. the comp is so low you could run 87 octane and probably still not detenate. but also since your comp will be so low and you have the big 2.2L of displacement i would upgrade the turbo, not the pistons. try to get at least a T-60 if not bigger. it wil spool up wonderfully.

thanks for info.

Ur right, though. Detonation would not be much of an issue with such a low compression. I guess from the start my plan was to make the most hp/lb, but like people have been saying, it's not all about the most hp/lb
