Built H22 Compression numbers?
My H22 build is complete. It was tuned and driven on for about 60-100 miles. The compression numbers are 170 across. Should these numbers be higher or about right? Here's my setup:
GE HD Sleeved H22A4 87mm
GE Headgasket
CP Pistons 9:1
Pauter Rods
Stock head, everything else stock. Is 170 about where it should be? The car was tuned immediately according to Earl's recommendations. Thanks guys.

Re: Built H22 Compression numbers? (White Smoke)
my numbers on my motor 87mm bore w/ 9:1 comp. via JE pistons are 187psi-190psi across the board..w/ a less than 2% leakdown
numbers might be alright because of consistency..
but it wouldn't hurt to do a leakdown...

I was told that the numbers should gradually go up. I only drove it for a minimal amount of time so maybe the rings haven't completely seated yet.

Rings seal way faster than you think they do..
If you broke it on the dyno -- then the rings are sealed (if they ever will be). Numbers look a bit low - but compression tests can vary from conditions to procedures etc. Consistency is a good sign. Try a leak down - if its good, run another compression test.

did you break it in n/a or with boost?
i have a pretty similar set up besides, 89mm, rollerwaves pistons, manley rods mine compression is 210/205/208/210
when i first broke in the motor n/a it was 210/210/210/210
