What does the stock oil pressure sensor do?
When tapping into the oil supply for a turbo, you're supposed to tee into the stock oil pressure sensor on the back of the block, and leave the oil pressure sensor. But if you have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge, is there really any point to keeping the stock sensor???
I'm pretty sure the ecu won't be using any vital information from the oil pressure sensor to retard the timing or supply more fuel, so basically the only thing that will happen is you're oil dummy light will be on... right???

The stock oil pressure sensor does nothing. All it does is light the oil light on your cluster when pressure is low. The ECU is not oil pressure aware.
You can even remove it enitrely and the light wont ever come on. I replaced my stock sender with a defi unit.
