Oil pressure sensor install...
I purchased a triple pod A-pillar and gauges from Glowshift and one of them was an oil pressure gauge that came complete w/ an oil sensor and I am trying to figure out where on the oil feed line to mount it or if anyone has pictures or diagrams of a set up they have done. I had also bought a sandwich adapter in the hopes that I could put it there but the oil pressure sensor wouldn't clear the block so I'm just a little pissed and confused now... I'm almost done w/ this build and running my oil lines and installing the oil pressure gauge is really the only things I have left to do... This is all going on a stock B16A3 btw... Thanks in advance!
p.s. I read on G2IC that it's not necessary to reinstall the factory oil pressure sensor which seems odd... any insight would be appreciated...

Re: Oil pressure sensor install...
stock oil switch only turns on and off the idiot light.
if you have a sandwich plate, put the turbo feed on there, and the oil pressure sender in the stock senders place. remember, the stock is BSP thread. your pressure sensor is more than likely NPT. the threads are different.
1 of 2 things can be done.
a - get a bsp male / npt female adapter
4 - take your time installing the sender in said hole. it can be done.

on G2IC it says installing the oil pressure sender unit on the block can result in it breaking off due to engine vibration.... the way that you suggest would be ok?

Re: Oil pressure sensor install...
a tee plus turbo feed plus vtec oil feed plus oil pressure sensor, can break it yes.
but just the sensor i have never had an issue with.
if you are scared, remote mount it. get a little piece of braided -3 line and mount it on the fire wall.
