At what boost does an 8 heat range become necessary?
I've been running 7s for a while now, who is running 8s and why? At what point does an 8 become necessary for performance?

where to get an 8 heat range plug. I wanted to try that out on a dyno heat range 7 vs 8, but my local dealer said me, that he called NGK and they do not make a 8 heat range plug. I run BCP 7es 11 and I wanted an 8es...but it is not available. Damn, I wanted to compare it on the dyno.
If I remember correctly he also told me no 9 10th, I think 11 or 12 is the next step of this brand

That would be great, you wouldn't happen to know the short # for the 8 heat range BKR would you?

I called NGK tech support about this issue (very knowledgable guys) and there is no BKR in the 8 heat range. You have go with a race plug like R7113-8 (#3650). These plugs arent cheap though.. over $15 a plug
Anyone have a better solution?

I run Apexi #8...
I use 100 octane gas daily and boost at 0.8 bar (max) 0.45 daily. I was using NGK #7 but my car would knock after about 7000 rpms, so my tuner switch them to #8's...very nice!!...No knocking, no backfiring, no carbon deposits
