Look at your torque......bawhahahah. Damn b16's when will they ever learn.

J/K

It looks a bit low to me overall, though it could be due to the fast that you've got 8:1 pistons in there. You should have stayed 9:1 or higher. Higher static compression yeilds more power per lb of boost. Not that you can change it now. Crank up the boost, you ought to be running at least 12~14lbs if you're A/F looks good.

DSM will only support about 300 WHP, tuning ough to help you ough a good bit from the looks for it.

yeah, compression is too low. You should of went higher since you had engine management.

...I'll sleep better at night not having to worry about crappy R/S ratio and sidewall loading with my B16, 8500 rpms every day, stock bottom end, no worries.

Tune it and turn up the boost and you should see much better numbers.

well see a shop just got a dynojet and the nearest hondata tunner is 8hours away, i have a apointment for sept 5th but i just wanted to do a bse run for now. Yeah my compression kills it a bit, the other guy there ran a stock motor b16 hatch drag3 with 7psi and made 220hp so yeah my compression is hurting me. also my hondata chip is for the stock map sensor. but they will change that when i get it tunned. We also ran a ls interga stock motor and at 7psi he made 216hp and 182tq. tunning is 140bucks and hour and they said 2 hours should do it. also they dont have anything at the dyno i used to measure air/fuel so i wanted to play it safe with just 9psi. also my graph is all over the place and now that i look at it it stops reading at 7500rpm. torque maxed at 6200 and droped from there

Why are you changing your MAP sensor? are you going to be boosting more than 14 lbs? If not, it doesnt really matter, you can use the stock Honda MAP sensor.

I Go to Salt Lake City for Hondata tuning, its 6 hours away.

You have to be dedicated!

i was told the stock sensor is only good for 11psi. i have a gm one anyways. so its all good, im looking to hit 300hp. what are my odds?

Yes you were right, 11 psi, I had forgotten about that.

I'd say the odds are good for 300 whp, although I would upgrade from 450 cc injectors to do that. I am looking at at least 660 cc injectors.

I agree, for all the engine work and money thats been put into it, you should be able to squeeze more from it. D16's can produce 200whp on stock internals, granted not as reliably, but you get the point.

I also agree turn up the boost with that kind of engine work and the hondata system, get a 3 bar map sensor and crank up the boost to 20psi and see what kind of numbers you get. And you crank it up JUST HOLD ON!

Well crank up the boost, but to a point where the Turbo is still running efficiently. What trim compressor are you running? I am curious, because I am going to be running a turbo on a B16A as well.

i have the new gm sensor. and i have 450 injectors already running. at only 9psi i did not expect to much, but then again my dyno run cut of at 208hp at 7400rpm i still had a grand to go yet. stupid me, and as for boost. with 8to1 compression what can i run after it is tunned and still be safe? oh as for trim im not sure how to check? its the silver backed turbo not the blue one that comes with the drag3 kit

assuming u r tuned and have enough fuel, i would run no less then 20 psi w/ 8:1 compression. oh and that is on pump gas too. also assuming ur turbo is still efficient at 20psi.

i wanted to sty with the low compression due to teh bad gas we get up here all the time, pluss i wanted more room for error just incase

I understand that (how bad is the gas??), but in actuality the forced induction increases compression anyway in a sense. Of course the beefed up internals should give you more room for error, which is good. Post again once you've done some tuning, Id like to see how this turns out. A stock B16 has alot of potential, your's should have tons of potential.
