Hondata Tech Question
If I bought a Stage 2B, datalogging, and a Pocket Programmer, could I send a datalog file and my ROM to someone, and ask them to modify the ROM and return it? Then burn a new chip with the programer? That way everthing could be done by email.
I would really like to go with a stage 4, but it seems to be somewhat of a waste unless you make frequent, radical changes to your setup, or if you tune other peoples Hondata's. My thought is to record a run or two with the datalogger, and then send it to my favorite freindly Hondata dealer for tuning.
I know the best way to tune is realtime on a dyno, but that can be hard too if you don't have a Stage 4. So if you don't own a Stage 4 and your local dyno shop doesn't own one, what are you supposed to do?

you can probably do that, but it won't be for your exact setup...I wouldn't do that on a turbo motor. Plus, what if the person on the other end doesn't do anything but send you back your chip(being you paid somebody to send you your chip back).
I figure a Hondata dealer should be more reputable than that. Besides, if you send the ROM file by email, you should be able to see if it was changed.
