How/why did you have a quarter size whole in your charge pipe? Was the 12.8 on street tires? 370whp is quite an "estimation" from 292whp. Either way, sorry to hear it blew. You should probably go a bit more conservative on the tuneup next time. I've seen ALOT of people lately tuning for big numbers trying to impress people, but with the motors lasting a month or so at best...</TD></TR></TABLE>

W/ that trapspeed and the weight of his car, 370whp is probably pretty close at the time of the run. Scott just did 121 w/ a lil more power then 370, and a lil less weight then jordo.

Sorry it blew Jordo.. Good luck on the new build, I know it'll be somthin decent.

hummm, 20 degrees igntion timing on a 10.5:1 motor @ 7psi would probably be fine on a motor w/ a regular t3/t4 turbo like a 57 trim or something similar. But w/ that t67 compressor wheel, your going to have some dense *** air @ 7psi, and the flame is going to travel faster, so its going to need less timing. Look at the trapspeed, that car was making some good power. **** happens though dude good luck. The only thing that probably woulda saved your motor was tuning against a knock sensor. btw, good luck w/ new build.

A knock sensor wouldn't have helped, because it is ignored at WOT anyway. I think that they already established that his car was making a lot of power. . .

Obviously they didn't establish it enough. and who ignores a knocksensor at WOT? I said tune against a knock sensor, i didn't say to use a stock honda knocksensor to band aid a bad tune. Anyways, not saying it was a bad tune, cause like they said, the turbo exceeded all their expectations. If the car was making 290whp on the street like the way it did on the dyno, it probably would have been fine at 20 degrees ignition timing. I don't think the tuner really did anything wrong in this scenario. He tuned it on the dyno the way the car sat. Later on the boost leak was fixed and it obviously made a **** load more power, and exceeded the tune. If there was a knock sensor installed, (like a J&S) it probably would have notified the driver that something was wrong.

You would need a new motor to part it as stock . for all that just fix it. youll have more headaches selling it, trust me

Jordo, **** that, don't sell it. It's just a little bump in the road. This will help you come back bigger and better. That's the same way I felt when I blew my motor, left without a car, and no money. In the end, it worked out better, and my car came back 10x stronger.

I was in the same position but now shes built and I'm running her in. I was considering selling it and get an NSX but just couldn't leave the dark side. Anyway, you'll have plenty more fun with your ITR+boost than you owould with an STi. You've already gone through a lot to get where you are so why give in already? Just get a beater to do your errands.
