Hi everyone, I was the one that did all the install and tuning on Jordan's car and this is all news to me.
If anyone is asking, I put a VERY conservative tune on the motor. It was tuned to 11.8 air/fuel ratios all across and 20 degrees timing at 8psi with a very conservative ignition advance. The rate at which the car was making power during the tuning session surprised the heck out of everyone; it exceeded all imaginable expectations. Because of this, I put a boost cut at 9 psi on the Hondata, I didn't hook up the 3bar GM map sensor that Jordo brought to me, the Profec B was left uninstalled (because I know how greedy people can get when it comes to boost), and I set the MSD ignition rev limiter to 9000rpm. Basically, I tried to put as many safeguards as possible in the car and the tune. I could have detuned the car a little bit more, but it wouldn't have made for a happy customer.
As far as my tuning credentials go, I do own a 130+ mph street car (hondata tuned of course) and have tuned many other street cars in Louisiana to 120+ traps speeds. The reason not too many people know about my car is that I'm not one that likes to bring attention to myself. Anyone that knows me knows that I'm one to shy away from attention and adulation.
Geoff at Full Race might remember my car because I sent him a video of one of the 130+mph runs I made back in November of 2003 on the T3/t67 turbo I bought from him. I can't say enough about Full Race's products and service. The way I see them taking care of their customers says a lot about who they are as people and shows that they're not in this game for the money.
Anyways, this post is getting a little long so I'll just leave it at that.

If you really need the car to run, just pull the head, drop the oil pan, change out the cracked piston and you can probably delay your build up for another couple of months. It took me a day and a half and $105 for a homemade thicker head gasket on my F23.

Sorry it blew but you might want to invest in a beater car or some kind of backup plan if that's your only way to your job and school.

it was only a mtter of time . if the motor blew in 2 months or so, id say you were beating the **** out of it in every case you could without taking proper care of things. and the tune mighta been a little too agressive for the compression. good luck on the build

Understandable.. i wasn't trying to point fingers at the tuning... It just didn't make sense to me that you said you were tuned, but had no solid power level number.

I think I will be even more conservative with my new set up though I have been boosted a lil over 8 months with three different set ups all un tuned.
