welding question??
im getting a manifold currently made for my prelude. and i bought some bolts that im gonna use to bolt up the turbo to the t3 flange. im actually gonna get the bolts welded in place but im not sure if they will work. the guy told me that they are probably zinc. if this is ok let me no if not what can i use???
I guarentee they arent zinc bolts. They are probably zinc coated in which case you will need to take the coating off the part you are welding with acid or a wirewheel. Anyway, why in the world would you want to weld bolts to to your flange? Kinda defeats the purpose of a bolt.

It's not that hard to drill and tap new threads. It'll take you maybe an hour more to do it properly by tapping the wholes and adding studs. Take your time and do it right
