well at full boost and the wg open, i shift and the wg stays open for a sec or 2 and then closes and builds boost. i dont understand why the wg is hanging open. only viable reason i can think of is that the 5 psi spring is too soft to close the wg quickly enough while fighting the exhaust flow.

any ideas what might cause this btw, its a tial 38mm wg with about 700 miles on it.

where is the wastegate line hooked up to.. and what does this problem cause? does it slow your spool after you shift or something?

 

yeah its teed into the brake booster, so vac source isnt the prob

 

Before or after the check valve? hehe I guess before, else you'd be seeing more boost than that

But yeah, the problem probably isn't your wastegate. You sure your BOV isn't leaking etc?

 

you can hear the wg dumping even after the shift... i know uits the wg hanging open not the bov leaking.
