Default Weird MSD Qwerk

I just installed my msd blaster ignition box, blaster 3 coil, and blaster cap. Now the car starts only after I let the key go back to the on position, instead of starting while in the start position(forward most position). Is this just an msd thing or what?

Did you connect the power wire for the MSD unit directly to a constant 12v and not a switched power source?

It is on a switch, but I am not sure where my friend got the power to the switch from. I will check that tonight after I get off work. Its not really a big deal seeing as it still starts and turns off fine.
