Default weird idle

so i have a 2000 gsr t. when i got it tuned, it didnt have any issues other then starting up kind of, but it starts fine now. but recently since it started to get colder, when the engine is cold, it will go form 2000 rpms-1500 then back up. and it will continue to do this until the car warms up a bit then everyhting will be cool. does this sound like its tune, weather, or idle control valve problem?

Sounds normal to me...the engine is building heat at a much faster rate if it idles at 1.5k to 2k, then when she's all warmed up, 800-1k.

I'm tuned with crome and dsm 450's and I've had a buggy on and off surging idle like from 1100-1500 ever since I switched to obd1 whether it was on a basemap or on the tuned map.

i would understand if it was 1600cc injectors and you couldnt get a " perfect " idle, but with anything else you should not have a problem getting the car to idle at 8-900 rpm perring like a kitten.

The biggest thing i have seen is that people never touch the the water or air temp comp's and think they are fine where they are, but hey to each their own.

w/ crome u need to calibrate the TPS to get the idle to smoothen out better.

you should calibrate any tps, with any ecu on any car when tuning if it is not correct.

Can you recommend a set of values to try (see below)

http://uberdata.pgmfi.org/foru...=4279

My warm idle is often erratic and the car requires throttle input to start once it's been driven for a while.

Thanks.
