cold idle and hondata s300
for some reason when i start my car up when its cold it will shoot straight to 2,000 rpms and stay there until its completely warmed up. under 'idle' in my s300 the lowest rpm under idle vs. coolant temp is 1500 and then 1300 and then 700 with my minimum idle at 900rpms. the IACV duty cycle is about at normal. what determines where the iacv duty cycle should be? i could change all the rpms to 900 and it will still stay at 2000rpms.
i just dont like it going straight to 2000 rpms until it warms up. yea so it will warm up quicker but that is no biggie to me i always wait for it to warm up anyways.

Exactly
Take it off the TB and unscrew the two bolts.. turn the spring in and put it back on.

ill take it off and check it out. its pretty new too. dont you like take it apart and screw in the white plunger type deal inside all the way in ?
or better yet.. can i just i just bypass the FITV somehow?
and i still dont understand what exactly the IACV duty cycle is.. how do i know where it should be?

Take the POS FITV off, Mike. That's why it idles high. Just make a block off plate from aluminum and bolt it on there with some Hondabond or make a gasket. If you want, I'll probably be making one for the Holley TB on the 4 door and I can make an extra at the same time. Also, don't take off your FITV. Just pull off your charge pipe at the TB and start the car. Block off the hole for the FITV and it should idle down to where your S300 is set to. Once you have verified idle is correct, take that POS off. You aren't driving it in the cold all the time anyway....
