wastegate vac line langht ?
hello everybody.
i have a internal wg that get boost from the compressor housing.
i'v read in several threads that ill get better respone if i will tee off the line from the IM.
so i tryed to do so today and the line seems kinda long, so i was wanted to know whats the langth of your line? (more or less)

its fine, just make sure its not too small and that you have it going to a good source that doesnt have other Ts in it. Better yet, give the wg/bov/fpr/map etc. their own dedicated sources from the brake booster line or tap into the manifold.

if i remember, that is a source for VENTURI not manifold vavuum. there is a big difference. the best thing to do is, drill and tap the compressor. or use a vacuum manifold off of a tee in the brake booster.

However the boost pressure wont be corrected for IC pressure loss. If you IC has a 2 psi pressure drop and you WG has a 10 psi spring then once the compressor generates 10 psi it will open the WG. However the 10 psi coming out of the compressor will go through the IC and loss 2 psi due to IC pressure loss. So your boost gauge tapped off of the IM will show that only 8 psi of boost is reaching the motor. So if you hook up the WG after the IC then the WG wont open until 10 psi is reached after the IC. So that means the compressor is actually putting out 12 psi, but you lose 2 psi through your IC and the pressure coming out the IC is 10 psi.

yeah i was affraid that was the VENTURI line.
i have a tap and a nipple on my compressor housing but i wanted to try the IM way.

yeah it dose make sense.(if i got it correct)
BUT. it's not the chargepipes that suppose to get the air its the engine. so what that you see on your boost gauge IS what your engine gets.
