wastegate spring question

ok i want to tune my car to 9 or 10lbs, my wastegates spring is for 7 lbs my question is do i have to get a diff spring or could i use a boost controller and still use the 7 lbs spring? thanks

with the boost controller you can run more psi without changing the spring, but you just cant run less then 7 psi
