Default oppinions on what direction i should choose

ok i have an old td04 with an ef converted manifold(ghetto looking, would need to work on it a little)

my question is, should i start the old td04 kit back up again and buy all the pieces i need?
or
should i go with this kit?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-00...QQcmdZViewItem
or
should i buy a garret t3, and piece my own new kit together with all quality parts?

this would all be on a d16y7 with y8 IM. thanks to any sugestions in advanced.

quality is the only way to go, your relieablity lies within the parts you use. be in wastegate, bov, turbo, manifold, ect.

you are only as good as your parts.

what direction should you go...? Well i'd first start by going the opposite direction you were....Ebay is not the place to find GOOD parts...cheap yes, but good.....no

my pockets are about 1500 deep or so. i have been researching for quite a while now(prob about 8-10months. i have heard nothing but good things for ebay for the people THAT HAVE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. though it would be nice as u stated to buy name brand stuff.

im only 17 and will admit i havent driven many quick cars yet so im just saying that i wont be able to handle the power that well for a little while till i get use to it. im starting to lean back to my old roots with the td04 i purchased a while ago(its in pretty good condish). considering it is dsm(quality/made to last) i have the a manifold for it (crappy and needs work yet it is still here). im thinking i would start with that because
pro's: immediate boost, good for getting use to, dsm part, oil/water cooled.
cons: suppose to die after 6k or so,wont pack nearly as much punch as a bigger turbo will.

what do u guys think?

sorry i have patience but im kind of tired of waiting. got fuked over by a mechanic a while back who ripped me off by takeing a grand out of my pocket for puitting a new gasket on my IM and putting a wiring another wiring harness on my car that i didnt need and i got him the wiring harness from a junk yard for him and he charged me a grand for complete bull ****. if it wasnt for him i would have about 3g's.

so im a bit tired of waiting, i think i am going td04 ftw for a 17 year old. with hondata s200 with data logging, my rc310cc's fix my ghetto manifold, buy a dsm/ssac stainless steel down pipe 3in, have it cut and welded to my exhaust 2.5in piping, auto square intercooler kit with 2.5in charge pipes, ssqv bov, t-clamps, buy some water lines/oil lines and fitings with resistor, find a some directions for my boost gauge(2wires that are cut), air/fuel gauge(same deal as the boost gauge).boost controller and i am ready to go.

i can get all of this for around 1300ish. i have about 2g's i just wanted to have some back up money incase my engine or something esle went down hill. then prob pay about 200ish for getting my ecu chipped/ base map, run it over to the tuner and have it dynoed and tuned for 300ish.

how is that?
