Default Tial 38mm WG spring question!

I thought I had a 7.5psi spring in my wastegate, however the car boosts 10psi all day.

I do not have a boost controller and it is running only from the connection on the intercooler piping.

I am going to road race the car slightly under a month from now and want to run 5psi. Do I order a 5 psi spring or a 3.75 psi spring?

Also how hard is it to replace? Is it easy as a BOV spring?

just to be safe, you can order 3.75psi spring and run off a bc to raise it up.

yeah its easy. just be carefull it will kick right back at ya removing a 7.5 spring.

installing the spring is harder. u might need a buddy to help u press the spring

Yeah, I would also go with a 3.75psi spring, however that doesn't mean you'll be running that. That'll be just the lowest you will be able to boost, If you can I would just go with a boost controller. If not then go with a lower spring and see if it'll help.

I have the opposite problem, 8 psi with a 10 psi spring.

Check your gauge, it may be off. It shouldn't be boosting any lower than your wastegate spring.
