Default Wastegate Spring issue

Question for you guys

I Got 2 brand new 44mm tial mvr gates. Never been used or had springs in them. Each came with all the springs

By looking at the spring colors one gate had the "golds and Browns" and the other had "green blue red etc " so they are just 2 different manufacturing dates as the chart shows

I wanted around 8psi of boost just running the gates

So I used 2 springs in each gate. One gate I did brown and maroon and the other green and blue (like chart says)

For some reason when I'm at WOT the car is seeing about 12-13psi and no more and no less

The boost controller is turned off and not even wired but the hoses are ran to it like it is

How come it's not 8psi like spring color says?. Am I reading chart wrong or is it because the vacuum lines are ran to the controller but controller isn't on?

are all of the lower ports plugged? they need to be plugged, with thread sealant on the plug threads. Except the one port with the line attached of course.
And the upper port needs to be open to ambient air pressure.

It sounds like you have a leak or blockage somewhere in the lines or lower portion of the wg's.

They are all plugged except for the h20 port and I used thread sealant. The tops are not open because they are to the controller but I was under assumption that's why hondata gives you the ability to turn on and off the controller. So with the controller off it can run on gates. For instance I had a car on the dyno before that I was unsure what spring was in the gate and I thought for my tuner to figure that out he simply turned off controller and did a pull which would be waste gate only

Or with controller turned off it doesn't work like that. ?

Someone said on another boost that because I have the controller hooked up but not in use it may add pressure. ?

So what is my best bet with a controller to run on the gate. Maybe put the fixed % at 1?

Damn I was looking at the official Tial instructions they never said to use thread sealent. My wastegate is now mounted and hard to acess

The instructions don't say to use sealant, but I've seen the plugs come loose and fall out on several different cars. Sealant helps prevent that.

thanks. I got it.....Had to remove my radiator (luckily no coolant in motor at the moment) to move my ac condensor over. Used liquid Teflon says its stable to 400 degrees, hopefully It holds up glad I saw your post

If the controller is off, it should run at spring pressure, as long as the solenoid is set up to seal the boost source port and vent the wg line port when shut off, aka 0%, aka no power applied.
If the solenoid leaks at all, boost will run higher than spring pressure.

Solenoid is basic 3 port hondata controller

Both the tops of the gates are T'd together and go to port 2

And the bottomns of waste gate are T'd together and then T to the turbo and go to 1
Using all brand new push lock fittings and hose with Teflon

I just want to clarify; is it a GENUINE Hondata boost control solenoid? or is it "hondata style"?
