wastegate question?

Default wastegate question?

aight so i got a t3 airresearch turbo out of a saab and i think it is internely (sp) gated and all of the manifolds i see for sale have a flang for a external wastegate and i am just wondering can u take the internal(sp) wastegate off? or block the other flange? or does it matter if i have two wastegates? help i am confused

You can either weld the internal w/g shut and run and external or you can just block off the flange on the manifold for the external wastegate and run the internal. Either will work. You don't want two wastegates

how should i weld shut the gate flange on the manifold?

don't have to weld it... just get 1/4" thick steel plate and drill two holes and cut your own gasket
