internal wastegate ?

ok so i just got this turbo and it has an internal wastegate.. would it be smart of me to convert it to an external. if so how would i go about doing this.

i tried a seach with no prevail

just remove the internal and hook up an external to manifold

so just take out the flapper thing and then gt a flange to hook up an external? or would i block it off?
