Default Vortech Supercharger?

I'm thinking about forgeting about going N/A and going w/ the vortech. I heard that it can add 100 hp and it's a lot better the JRSC. What are the pros and cons about this product? Plus if I have Jun cams can I used these w/ a vortech? Thanks

Pros - high peak power

Cons - boost builds wayyy slower than a turbo - if it's making 8 psi at 7000 rpm, it's only making 4 psi at 3500, only 2 psi at 1750, etc. etc. etc. so you're spending a ton of money to get high peak numbers but down low it really doesn't make that much difference. Less money will buy you a turbo kit that will meet or exceed the Vortech's peak numbers and will deliver full boost from 3000 or 3500 rpm on up.

these types of chargers are better suited for large-displacement domestics...cars that already have plenty of low-end torque and need a boost up higher. although, honestly, even then i don't think you'll really ever be able to be more efficient than a properly sized turbo...
