Default Why T over V

I have a civic si and every one says to get a turbo over the vortech supercharger. Does anyone know what is really better and why?

Vortech has the downside of a turbo lag and the downside of a belt driven hp-robbing machine.

The vortech blower builds boost progressively based on RPM. This means (at least on paper) that at 4k rpm you will have exactly half the boost you have at 8k rpm.

Someone just posted a Vortech-on-GSR dyno in this forum and the numbers were not very impressive, and torque climbs steadily up until redline (boost slowly increases with RPM) instead of holding solid boost from low rpm.
