vehicle speed sensor problems

Default vehicle speed sensor problems

I have a civic turbo d16y8 just got the check engine light today, i checked the code and it is the vehicle speed sensor. what needs to be done to fit the problem? Do i just replace the (VSS) or what ? thanks

The sensor itself usually doesn't go bad, because it's pretty much just magnets. You probably have a short in the wiring somewhere (check your O2 sensor wires. if the power grounds on the exhaust, it trips the VSS check engine. they're on the same circuit. I had this problem). Also, check your fuses. good luck.
