yep done plenty of them with the head on, i just re did my own set, if you dont have a leakdown fitting or air, all you need is some 1/4 inch nylon rop, about 3 feet of it. put the piston on BDC and feed in the rope, slowly bring it up close to TDC, and youre done. the rope holds the valves place, and is soft enought to not hurt the piston or valves. also if you have decent valve seals and guides, your valve more than likely will not move much.

to replace the keepers in my ls/vtec. i practiced a bit on a sohc head that i have, it works super well for taking the keepers out, i just hit the end with my hand and its apart and the keepers are held in the handle with magnets. putting it back together takes some practice, but it works well.

i made my own too, i just copied the snap on unnit, i bought all the parts from ACE hardware for 30 bux, and welded it myself

i just bought that one from ImportBuilders... looks badass...hopefully it gets here soon so i can try it out... it should work with the head on or off... but you have to remove the rockers and ****, but it gives better acess either way...

once again this is only if you have the head OFF the car, why not look into one that be done both with the head on and off
