VAFC HACK Question

Re: VAFC HACK Question (EggEX2000)
you can do the same thing with any larger injector. it just depends on how much you need to correct your map voltage. the size of the injector is based on how much fuel you need based on how much correction you have to your map signal and how much psi running. more psi, more correction, more fuel, larger injectors, etc.

Re: VAFC HACK Question (scttydb411)
you can only go so far with the hack. when you are going with anything higher than 450cc's you are lowering your ability to trim down the fuel. i remember reading someone running something around 500cc's and his vafc settings were between -48 to -45, now if you ask me there is not so much to play with when you are already that low.

Re: VAFC HACK Question (dirtySOHC's)
what i mean by using larger injectors is 310-450. larger than 450 he would need to be able to consume the fuel with say a much higher boost. higher boost means he would need that much more fuel and then also need to trim back closer to -50, but yes there is a limit to how much the hack can be used unless changing the map sensor.

Yes I run 500cc untuned and the lowest trim is now around 48% so I still have about 2% to play with. 550cc can be done but you will run very rich as you cannot trim any more than 50% on the AFC. Its not so much the injector size thats the question, its the level of fuel trim that you have to play with by any form of fuel trim/piggy back device that enables you to provide the correct fueling.
