vacuum source/line/fitting question
i ordered an professional products whirlwind (aebs) intake manifold for my 97 gsr. i will not be using on of the large vacuum fittings on it beacuse i will be running a catch can and eliminating my pcv. so my question is can i run a vacuum block off of the unused fitting on the intake manifold?
also im debating even running a vacuum block, could i just run a line from that unused fitting on the intake mani and T it to go to my electronic boost gauge and waste gate and T a smaller hose off the intake mani to run to my hks ssqv?

Re: vacuum source/line/fitting question
Does your turbo have a bung in it for a vacuum line? That is the best place to run the wastegate IMO. But yes, you can run vacuum off of that port.

yes you can use the unused port to run your accessories. you might get away with tees but a vacuum block will distribute things more evenly and give each item a dedicated line. it will probably also look cleaner than teeing
also an aftermarket IM should have plenty of extra vacuum ports anyways so you may be able to use them. for example my victor-x has all of these ports on the bottom of the plemun

what vtechjunkie is suggesting is that if you have a fitting on your turbo compressor housing then you should run the wastegate to that. the wastegate does not need to see vacuum, it is operated by boost only. vacuum can actually be harmful to the diaphragm
