Default Vacuum Question

I've done a lot of searching and can't seem to find a definitive answer as to whether or not it can be used as a vacuum source.

I'm looking to t a vacuum line on my 97 integra for the BOV and I'm wondering whether the hose coming off of the Intake Manifold for the EVAP Purge control solenoid valve (going to the evap canister) would be a good source?

I plan on using the FPR for the boost guage, but need a source close by for the BOV. I'd prefer not using the brake booster since it's all the way on the other side of the engine bay.

Thanks in advance.

Nick

no don't tap in to that hose. Tap into the next vacuum hose to the right of that hose.

it's ok to go into the PCV vacuum hose? (that's the next one over to the right).

Thanks again...

yes use that hose, actually run a new hose right off that nipple from the manifold, and make a catch can for that hose.

I agree. It cleans things up a lot and it uses a better vacuum source, so you will get better wastegate and bov response.
