Urgent: Code Problem wiht Vortech PLEASE HELP
Hi everyone, i am new to this site, but a senior in clubsi...
I have heard alot of good stuff about this site and that the people are very helpful so i thought i might give it a shot.
I have a 99 CIVIC SI, it is vortech super charged, i have VAFC, 4-2-1 dc headers, crower 401 cams, skunk 2 adj cam gears, Dsm 360cc injectors, skunk 2 intake manifold, clutchmaster stage 4, 2.5" cat back exhaust...
my problem is...
i just recently put my dsm 360cc injectors after i put them in it has thrown a CODE 13, which is Barometric Pressure CODE.... it throws my idle off, makes it idle high, i reset the ecu and it idles fine but once the code comes back it idles high.. i just wanted to know if anyone could help me out and tell me what to do to get rid of this damn thing.. it is annoying that my car idles like *** and to see the damn check engine light..
can anyone help me please

Ok, i believe the barometric pressure sensor is in the ecu.
you could try swapping out the ecu with a friend and see if it works.
check the wiring of your vafc.
Also to make sure, you are using a resistor box, correct?
here is something small about it, not much....

hope this helps you get started.

That is what i orginally thought, but after searching most people say that the Barometeric sensor is in the ECU, not the map sensor on top of the manifold/tb.

you tried resetting the ecu, right? first i would try to swap the ecu and see if that works.

You also might want to IM Civic89 and see what he did to get rid of the same code you had. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=210207

Without the scan tool to get more specific info, I think your only option is to replace the ECU. The only other thing it could be is the Electric Load Detector (ELD).
But since you have an AFC, you may have a short somewhere. With a voltmeter you should check for a short in the ELD. You should realy get a Helms if you don't have one already. If you do have on, check page 11-182.
Hope this helps.
