I have a question...
Hi everyone, i am new to this site, but a senior in clubsi...
I have heard alot of good stuff about this site and that the people are very helpful so i thought i might give it a shot.
I have a 99 CIVIC SI, it is vortech super charged, i have VAFC, 4-2-1 dc headers, crower 401 cams, skunk 2 adj cam gears, Dsm 360cc injectors, skunk 2 intake manifold, clutchmaster stage 4, 2.5" cat back exhaust...
my problem is...
i just recently put my dsm 360cc injectors after i put them in it has thrown a CODE 13, which is Barometric Pressure CODE.... it throws my idle off, makes it idle high, i reset the ecu and it idles fine but once the code comes back it idles high.. i just wanted to know if anyone could help me out and tell me what to do to get rid of this damn thing.. it is annoying that my car idles like *** and to see the damn check engine light..
can anyone help me please

an adjustible FPR will deffinatly help.......you might have to drop the fuel pressure a little since the inectors are much larger than stock.
you should be able to lean out the lower part of the RPM band and at idle with your VAFC to accomodate the larger injectors............i dont understand why the ECU would throw a CODE 13 Barometric Pressure?
check your connections from your VAFC to the map sensor wires.......i hope you didnt use the wire connector clips that came with the VAFC!?!.......all those wires should have been solderd.....loose connections can cause a big headache...
start checking your connections first and go from there........
good luck

Code 13 for the Barometric Pressure Sensor is usually an ECU problem. The Barometric Pressure Sensor is in the ECU itself. Swap in another ECU if you have one, or try your ECU in another car and see if it gives you the code #13.
might the extra fuel from the larger injectors make the ecu think the baro sensor is bad? the ecu will be trying to trim out as much as it can, but when it can't, figures there's something wrong. agree that adjustable fpr and vafc should be able to help.

would the extra fuel do this meaning set off or trick my ECU??? would the fpr help? and what is teh Fuel pressure suppose to be? i have gotten my car dynoed and tuned! THanks for all your help everyone this place is alt of help, i just need to fix this crap.
LIKe a week ago the code went away on ITS OWN without me reseting anyting, but came back this week, so does anyone think it might have to do wiht the fuel presssure plesae let me know thanks

It is possible that those huge injectors are causing the ECU to trip a code #13. I don't know for sure what parameters will trigger a code #13. In 14 years working on Honda/Acura vehicles, I have only seen two code #13's, and both of those were due to bad ECU's. If your car was dyno tuned, didn't they set the fuel pressure for you?
I would have a professional look at it. Someone who dyno tunes high performance Honda's. I don't have any Forced Induction experience, so I could not tell you exactly what to do. Maybe one of the Gurus from the forced induction forum could be of assistance.
the cams are excellent, does anyone know what Fuel pressure should be, cause i am gonna go buy a FPR tomorrow and see if it gets rid of this damn code, i am just gettting soo damn annoyed by this thing...
it idles like **** between 700 annd 1500 all the time even the engine is warm
and stil throwing this code... please help someone

Measure your fuel pressure with the stock fpr. That will give you a baseline. Try going lower/leaner. But be careful; with forced induction you don't want to go to lean, detonation will kill your motor fast.
