Turbonetics kit of h22 prelude..Map codes.
1994 prelude
We connot get this figured out. It doesnt have the Map sensor on the top of the throttle body, its on the fire wall. The kit supplied us with a 2 bar map sensor, and a missing link. We tried all possible ideas, and still nothing. We cannot use the missink link because again the map is not on the throttle body.
The kit came with a FCI. Its wired up correctually.
Any ideas? If more info is needed, I can supply you with as much as I can.

He wants to use the stuff that came with the kit..
I told the guy about the ease of Hondata. but he just wants to use what he has now.

you can't use the 2 bar map sensor with the factory computer. put the oem map sensor back on, but first the missing link then the mapsensor.
another Honda-tech hater........thats not what he asked for. if theres nothing nice to say..............don't say it. you didn't even answer the question knuck head!
fyi.....just don't push it too much on that setup. u'll be aight tho. keep the boost down(power) or the fuel distribution will be a problem.

The Kit comes with 2 more injectors that taps into the fuel line. Its ran by the FIC. But here is the thing.
we cannot run the Missing link because its not its not attached to the throttle body. Its located near the firewall like the OBD0 honda's.
Here is a Pic.

Would it be easyier to go out and Find a throttle body with a Map that fits on top of it?

Correct. The missing link simply bleeds away boost from the map sensor. There are other ones out there that are made to go inline opposed to mounting on a throttle body. They are old school and better technology has developed since '99-'00.
If you want your motor to last, ditch the 2 bar b.s. and the dual injector deal... invest in a hondata system or other EMS, larger injectors, walbro fuel pump, and then have it properly tuned.

I agree with anthony, however, if you must have it done this way "use what the kit came with" way, you can use a check valve or several check valves on the vac line to the map sensor, I did it that way like 6 years ago and it worked to a certain point (7-8psi). At the very least, tell the guy to buy some 440's and a AFC and rock the AFC hack. Then you can ditch the extra injectors and rising-rate FPR

Seriously that fuel set up and ghetto rigged MAP set up is just a blown motor waiting to happen, these kits are made by FMAX and Turbonetics bought them out or something, local guy washed his rings out due to that fuel system and spun bearings

Yeah...We can hear a knock comming from the 4th cylinder..

But All we need to do is put in Check valves? Sence we have a few at the shop, should we use them on every vacuum line comming from the Intake manifold?
