the only reason we use a gm 3bar is to boost beyond 11psi....12 can be had by richening up the last coulmn but a gm 3bar will let you go to 28.6psi....a motorola 3bar has better resolution down low at idle though...yet the fact htat it is extremly tiny

Re: (11psiTurboSI)
ok then which should i go for with power goals of right now 450whp on 91 octane? i mean once i finish my build i am working on the interior and gettin all my gauges, seats, and all that done then i am goin to go back and work on the motor more with bigger piping, turbo, etc. and hopefully on race fuel pull numbers around 700whp and on 91 octane over 500whp. but right now i am goin for 400 to 450? would the 3 bar do me? or will that need over 28.6psi to achieve that?

Re: (RedlineKustomz)
The best way to find out what MAP sensor you need is to take the MAP rating of the sensor, subtract 1 bar. The number you get is how much that map sensor is good for. So say for a stock Honda MAP sensor which is rated at 1.7 BAR. Subtract 1 bar you are left with 0.7 bar or about 10-10.5 psi. To convert bar to psi multiply by 14.5.
Here are some other examples
2.5 BAR map sensor is good for 21.7 psi
2.5 - 1 = 1.5
1.5 x 14.5 = 21.7
3 BAR map sensor is good for 29 psi
3 - 1 = 2
2 x 14.5 = 29
5 BAR map sensor is good for 58 psi
5 - 1 = 4
4 x 14.5 = 58
You get the idea...use the smallest BAR rating you can get away with. For example if you think that you will be able to make 400 HP at 18 psi, then get a 2.5 BAR map sensor, not the 5 bar sensor.
