Default Turboknowledge

ehh ive searched, and have simple questions. Im running (stock internal) d16z6 k so im planning on doing boost. What I really wanna know is what are my minimum necessesary parts are going to be for running 6-7 pounds? is running without forged pistons, rods, sleeved block, etc. on 6-7 lbs gonna hurt my engine? thanks for input.

you dont need internals for that amount of boost, just bolt on the kit and get it tuned

well everyones right you probably dont need any internal work...but just to be on the safe side...i wouldnt boost 6-7 daily and i would invest in at least better valvesprings thats all....and make sure wut u already have is in good condition: timing belt ( it ripped on me and it was bad) head gasket ( dont wanna blow it ) air to fuel ratio, and your coooling system (radiator has no leaks) and just get it tuned youd be okay

^You wouldn't run 6-7 lbs daily? Are you kidding, that's considered low boost for that engine. What do you want him to run, 2lbs? And a turbo has nothing to do with the engine reving high, that has to do with the driver. So why would he need valvesprings?

Umm, ok...........?
why not invest in some rods while you at it?

THat motor should be able to handle that amount of boost. -

engine internals are dictated by the amount of POWER they will be producing, not their boost level.
