how much boost can i run on a non-sleeved block?
i'm using srp 8:5.1 pistons, eagle rods, cometic head gasket, arp head studs, etc. the block is not yet sleeved, but i was thinking in 15-18 lbs range. is that possible? it's a b16a2.

First of all, what turbo is this on? If it's some little T25 then I'd say sure. If it's a SC61 or something of that nature, I'd say you better have some C16 and a good tuner on your side, not to mention a large meat sack. Some people will say it can be done no problem, some will say that you'll at least need a block guard, but everyone single person should agree that no matter how you wanna do it, tuning is of the utmost importance. Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

Well, they may not be very efficient but, I do actually know of a local guy running 23psi (he claims) on his t25 and even on his stock sidemount. I've seen the car go mid 11's, but he probably had a differenet turbo on their at that point. He did say that at that level, he had a very hard time keeping the boost constant though. I realize that that doesn't really answer your question, but I figured I'd throw that in their.
