Default turbo without intercooler

is anyone running a turbo without an intercooler ?
i was kinda skeptical about it at first but now im considering it because of low funds

boost + low funds = problems.

just get yourself a cheap intercooler or just wait till you have the funds for it.

yeah i think i am just gonna wait i feel like ill blow my engine or something since its gonna be a stock block and has 160k

no intercooler? the question is why when an ebay one is for like $80 bux which is more than sufficient for a budget setup.

yeah i was looking at the ebay ones but its like 200 for the intercooler and piping
and i still need my manifold,lines,downpipe also it would have to get tuned after so it adds up
but i think i am gonna wait im happy with the car now
maybe once i get a job again ill go turbo

just go to the junkyard and get a saab intercooler for 25 bucks. Works for me.

smokey yunick says it all. For small PSI, unintercooled is better. Look at his Fiero back in the 80s. 0-60 in about 6 secs and got 52 mpgs. The hotter air helps with fuel atomoization, its part of his Hot vapor cycle theroy. take a read
