does the sizing of the intercooler affect the performance of the turbo. ive seen alot of huge intercoolers on honda and i never really knew. thanks guys

yes it does affect it, either way, too large or too small. (turbo or intercooler)

 

get an intercooler that matches your setup as closely as possible. Getting an intercooler that is much larger than necessary only increases lag because the turbo has to fill the empty airspace in the intercooler. Also, the cheap Ebay intercoolers, as popular as they may be w/ the lower hp setups, dont cool as well as the nicer intercoolers (precision, garrett, etc). The cheaper ones flow better but when cooling was compared, the Garrett and Precision cores cooled the air charge much more efficiently....there is a thread about this somewhere
