Turbo and Timing, HELP
well i kinda have a dilema here, i am going to be boosting in a couple of days, but thing is i'm kinda worried to boosting with the timing is advanced, it does have some things on the motor its a GSR with CTR cams, Skunk 2 intake mani, and a Spoon TB, so i'm guessing the last owner of the car advanced the timing for some reason (guessing cause of the things on the motor) i just put my apexi cat back on too if that matters, but anyways just wondering if it would be ok to boost on the timing that its on, thats wats keeping me away from boosting the car, the timing.
its going to be untuned for now its going to be running on a FMU for now on stock injectors, i bought the kit used and the previous owner was boosting 6 to 6.5 pounds off the wastegate untuned. So wondering if it would be safe.

No, it won't be safe.
At least pull a bit of timing at the dizzy. Rule of thumb is .75 retard per psi of boost. Do a search on tuning... you'll find a lot of useful info. You can also check out http://www.hondata.com for some good info.

Re: Turbo and Timing, HELP (SPNFEDEH)
i boosted my car with an fmu, stock injectors, and untuned at 7psi.....it only took a week to blow it. maybe that will help your decision. get a wideband, some sort of engine management (i.e. uberdata, hondata), injectors, and a better fuel pump and GET IT TUNED. Otherwise you have just thrown all of your money into a black hole like i did.

Re: Turbo and Timing, HELP (SPNFEDEH)
Put on stock timing and put the turbo and everything except fmu and run the stock injector is better than fmu for awhile I think and then when u get ur money chip the ecu to uberdata or crome and tune it that the most important thing in turbo honda I forgot buy some bigger injector 440cc or 550 cc and ur good to go and I forgot i f ur car has the stock clutch change it b4 u do the dyno so u won't get anyproblem later cuz mine slips while dynoing it so yea good luck
