Turbo spiking?
I have a ls with an fmax kit on it, the car ran for about 30 minutes after the install until huge amounts of white smoke poured out everywhere. Changing the headgasket didn't do anything. Got the head inspected that was fine. Turns out I had 4 cracked pistons. I was reading about 7.5 psi on my boost gauge when we ran it (9psi spring). My best guess is to do that kind of damage the kit must have spiked cause all you guys seem to run 9-11psi on stock b18b blocks. I can't figure it out. Don't want to make the same mistake twice after the rebuild.
