Turbo SOHC Running like ****, code 3?
My 95 Hatch has been running like **** since I got the turbo kit on. Its got a 00 DX motor (d16 non vtec) and im running a t25 turbo, 6lbs, stop map, stock ecu. I got 3 check valves before the map sensor, so it SHOULDNT be reading boost, but maybe it is? The car runs fine when not boosting, but at WOT it throws CEL in top or 3rd, or by 4th gear, and runs like utter **** from there on. What can I do to fix that?

I ordered a missing link on Friday, so it should be here this week some time. Someone told me that it wont work on my car because I don't have a map sensor on my throttle body, just one thats on the firewall connected with a vaccume line. Also, i'm running 9lbs, and everyone seems to think the stock map is good to 10lbs? Any suggestions? Will the missing link work? HELP!

they do make missing link for non-obd engines..
the difference is 92-up civics have map sensor mounted on throttlebody..
pre-92 and couple newer models are mounted elsewhere and have vacuum hose running to them which is where you probably have you check valves installed now.
i would say you need to get a wideband and something to adjust your A/F ratios..

I have a 92 Civic, but a 00 Civic motor, I had the swap 'professionally' done, so they may have done some ghetto *** ****. What if I get a throttle body with the map on it, then my missinglink would work?

I got rid of the CEL, the missing link seems to have done its job ! Now I need to get my boost down. I'm running a t25 with an internal wastegate, log manifold, and open 2.25" downpipe. We (myself and the shop that installed it) cannot get it to go below 9psi when adjusting the wastgate, but the civic we took the turbo kit off of was running 6psi. They tell me I need to get full exhaust and that will fix it, I think there has to be a way to get it to work with out full exhaust, am I wrong?
