Turbo and A/R trim help needed
Well ive done a search and ive done research, but i suck when it comes to a/r trims. I am thinking of going the T4/60-1, 60 compressor wheel obviously but i dont know which a/r turbine to go with. What do you guys recommend for a minimum of 400hp that is not going to be extremely laggy? I read that the .82ar is recommended for the 2.3L engines (mine is the h23a). Also, could someone describe the stage 3 wheel to me? Thanks, sorry for sounding like a noobie.

.82 A/R would have been good for you on a T3 turbine but going to a straight T4 I would think a .48 or .63 A/R would better suit you without going too laggy. I myself went with a T3 .82 A/R Stage 5 turbine wheel and 60-1 compressor , Turbonetics since them and Innovative Turbo and a couple of others are the only ones with a Stage 5 turbine wheel. That wheel is just as big if not bigger on the inducer of the tubrine wheel but still smaller than the smallest T4 wheel on the exducer. You may want to call Turbonetics and/or Innovative Turbo Systems both are great and will point you in the right direction as welll as alot of knowledgable people on here.

Re: Turbo and A/R trim help needed (kidkutz)
i'm getting a t3/60-1 .82 ar turbo for my h23a. I'm going to be looking to make 300- 350 hp with it. I've talked to a few people who all say that that turbo with the .82 trim is more than enough to make that power without being laggy.

Different flange to the manifold, the wheels in the T4 are bigger, all of them are bigger than any T3 Stage 3 wheel inducer and exducer. here is a link to teh turbonetics wheel trims for turbine

I can't find the specs on the Stage 5 wheel sorry, I have a catalog at home will post when I get there unless someone beats me to it I'm sure. The inducer is bigger than the T4 N and O trim but the exducer is smaller. HTH
