Default Hey turbo spec guru's..... selection help!

For a 1650cc built D16 revving to about 8k, which would you select for best drivability + 400whp capability:

http://store.yahoo.com/cheapturbo/gart3w63artu.html- T3/60-1- 76 trim wheel (what would this relate to in "stage" size?) .63 A/R turbine / 60trim .70 A/R comperssor

or..

http://store.yahoo.com/cheapturbo/gart3to460tr.html - T3/T04E- Stg 3 .63 A/R turbine/60 trim .60 A/R compressor (my original plan)

Both turbines are .63 A/R but the 60-1 uses a "76 trim wheel" vs. the T04's Stage 3 wheel. I get them impression the .70 A/R 60 trim 60-1 compressor will flow more air in the upper end, but how much slower would you think spool time would be for that turbo?

That might help eh? lol

It's 9.0:1. 77mm bore and 90mm stroke for those interested.

the stg3 wheel is actually a the 76 trim
on me for not pointing that out on the site..
these turbos both use the exact same turbine housing and wheel. the major differences of these 2 being that the centersection on the t3/60-1 comes factory with 360* thrust bearings and the to4s housing wiht the 60-1 wheel will flow a larger volume of air.

I get the impression the .70 A/R 60 trim 60-1 compressor will flow more air in the upper end, but how much slower would you think spool time would be for that turbo?
i would suggest on the d-series it will be a bit slower spooling than the to4e compressor.
i would honestly suggest the t3/to4e for the d-series for street drivability
hope this helps

Considering the size of your motor and the fact that you want it to be a good daily driver, I'd suggest the T3/T04E. You'll find plenty of power, and have a good spooling turbo.

So 76mm = stg 3 wheel, thanks dude

It's not really going to be a daily driver, I have 2 others cars for that, but I do want to maintain a sense of drivability, kinda like what Karl had with his Civic i.e. street legal track car

But yea, I think the T04E would probably suit this motor best too, I just wanted to throw that out there and get some more opinons, thanks guys.

Joe- soon enough buddy, soon enough heh
